Graduating as Engineer in Enology and Viticulture at the Agricultural Institute of San Michele in Adige (I), in collaboration with the Fachhochschule Wiesbaden, Geisenheim (D), since 2009, the competent and discernible Cristina Monico has brought out the best of the 6.5 hectare terroir between Moncucchetto, Agra, Sorengo, Bioggio, Boscherina and Morchino, with an annual production of 30,000 bottles.

With a profound knowledge of Ticino’s viticulture, she has been the project leader in the study of the Ticino terroir for the Winemakers Federation of Italian Switzerland and responsible for the study of Merlot’s agronomic performance in various terroir in Ticino. Competence, passion and dedication inspire her work.

Her desire is to produce the best possible wines, taking into consideration the quality of the grapes within a well-defined territory, in accordance with an evolving and changing tradition and, above all, with an eye to the latest market trends. A definite strength for the winery.
