Rosso del Ticino DOC
Intense ruby colour. Fruity character with notes of red fruits, plums and black cherries accompanied by elegant spicy notes, and a finish with hints of coffee, tobacco and leather. Fine, intense and persistent bouquet with a wide palette of aromas. On the palate, it has a good structure and a fine tannic texture that guarantee the wine a good ageing potential. It goes well with meat and red meat dishes.
51% Merlot, 29% Cabernet sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc
Agra. 10-year-old vineyard. South, south-west exposure. Soil of granite origin, with medium organic matter content. Soil with good drainage capacity and average potential water reserve capacity.
Traditional red wine vinification with thermoregulated maceration. Malic retrogradation in steel barrels. Maturation for 12 months in second and third passage barriques.
